PIGMENTED LESIONS cafe-au-lait spots, solar lentigines,
birthmarks, or melasma are the result of excess melanin in the skins
cells. Because the Versa Pulse produces a wide range of light colors,
it can successfully treat a variety of pigmented lesions.

Small birthmarks and lentigines may take as little as one or two
30-minute sessions. Larger cafe-au-lait spots will take
more. Sessions are spaced roughly 6 weeks apart. The treatment itself
feels like numerous snaps with a rubber band. Most patients require
no anesthesia. Topical numbing is available for sensitive skins.
Aftereffects are minor--redness, light crusting or tenderness. You
will receive comprehensive instructions for aftercare to help you
achieve the best possible result. Sunscreen is a must!
Affordable, comfortable and effective, the Versa Pulse C is a huge
step forward in the development of technologies to treat pigmented
lesions. To learn more, come in for a personal evaluation.

REMOVING TATTOOS. Some 20 million Americans get a tattoo
some time in their lives...and each year, for a variety of reasons,
millions more seek treatment to remove them. In the past, technologies
for removal were limited and only partially satisfying. With the
laser, treatment is more controllable, more effective, more comfortable
and less assaultive on the skin. Tattoos are created by embedding
ink in the cells of the dermis, a layer just below the uppermost
layer of skin, which meant that until variable pulse lasers, you
had to remove the top layer of skin to get at the pigment, risking
infection, scarring, pigmenting and even tissue loss. By dialing
in the lasers light to target ink by color, the pigment can
be vaporized and safely absorbed by the body.
HERES WHAT TO EXPECT: Removing a 2" tattoo of
one color may take one or two treatments; multiple colors require
additional treatments. The sessions are usually spaced at 4 to 6
week intervals and are performed with local anesthesia to numb the
area involved. Aftercare involves the application of ointments and
dressings, avoidance of sun exposure and cosmetic irritants like
soap, perfume and deodorant. Aftereffects (redness, light crusting
and some tenderness) should disappear in 1 to 2 weeks. Because each
tattoo has been created by slightly different procedure with a variety
of inks and depths, the cost and results vary. Generally, a total
erasure is possible in about 1 in 10 patients. A personal consultation
is necessary to discuss the particulars with each patient.
